The manual isn't available at the moment.. for a model there is a are these characters behind the right control panel, those characters are WWA8600 but when I do a model search online there are three to 4 alpha characters behind that..
How do I make certain of that? couldn't it be the clutch or the motor, is there a way to be certain as to which one it is..

Is there a specific part number for the clutch alone. or does that have to be replaced with the motor. there are two numbers on the machine WWA8600 and WA8607..

Found the model .. now.. would a model wwa6600sblww have a one or two speed clutch assembly?

To get the model n umber you need to look for the plate on the body of the unit. In some models it is located at the back. Check if the door switch is working properly (assuming your model has one). Inspect the actual switch if it there is some physical damage then test if it is actually working and if it is sending signal to the control unit using a tester. Inspect the washer while you have the panel removed. You may see loose linkages if that is the cause of the problem. Check if there is power to the motor. Using a tester you can measure voltages from the power to the control unit and to the motor to see where the voltage stops. There you should be able to identify should there be a bad electrical component. If all checks out OK you may have to remove the motor to have it tested without any load. It could be a weak motor or it may have gone bad. If the motor is OK then we are looking at an issue with the control unit or electrical components that needs further testing. Do not forget to check the wires for loose connection or bad wires that needs replacement.

Hi there,

Well it seems like problem is in the Clutch assembly - it may use a clutch for agitating the clothes. As the clutch wears out, it may prevent the washer from agitating well or at all. If the clutch is worn, you need to replace it.
(the model number is provided in user manual or you can see it on washer backside)
post further comments if you need more help...

Good Luck!!

Thanks

Spin cycle trips house circuit breaker on my GE top loading washer

Hello,

The very likely reason the breaker trips only on spin is because the tub bearing is locked up on the washer since it is locked up its causing way excessive friction at the motor which causes the breaker to trip. Can you rotate the tub by hand or does it seem really hard to rotate by hand indicating that the tub is ceased up due to the tub bearing??

Washer will barley agitate or spin and make a

Try high speed only (cycles like cottons, heavy duty, etc. This happens when the low speed on the motor is not working. If high speed is working for you, the olny way to make the lower speeds work is to replace the motor.

GE washer agitates but won't spin

I think you may have a stopped up pump does it drain the water out if not it will not spin. A putty knife inserted 2 inches in from each side will release the spring catches and gently pull on front as you release sprins then look to the bottom right hand side and there is the pump clamp the tub to pump hose or **** water out with a shop vac take off tub to pump hose and then two 3/8 in screws that hold down the pump turn over where you can look in the pump may have an obstruction as always disconnect power before service.
