I have a Jandy LXi 400N that will not start. I push the button and it wants to go, but the blower does not come on. Sometimes the blower comes on and it works and other times it tries to come on, but...

The blower must be operating during the test procedure
for the blower pressure switch. Start by checking the
voltage between test point 1 and the common and
normally open contacts of the air flow switch.
Leaving the black lead of the meter on test point 1, check
the voltage at test point 11. If there is not 20-28 Volts
AC at this point, the eight-pin wire harness is faulty and
must be replaced. If 20-28 Volts AC is detected at this
point, then move the red lead of the meter to the Air Flow
Switch NO contact.
If 20-28 Volts AC is detected at this point, the device in
this circuit is closed and the circuit is working properly.
If there is not 20-28 Volts AC at the Air Flow Switch
NO contact, the pressure switch contacts are open. This
is usually due to a blower speed problem or a problem
with the air pressure tube connection between the blower
housing and the switch.
Be sure that the blower is on and that it is working
properly. Check that the gray flexible tube between
the blower pressure switch and the blower housing
is connected at both ends and has no holes or splits.
Replace the tube if necessary. If there is no problem with
the blower or the tube, check for blockages in the vent,
flue or heat exchanger that would prevent air flow. If no
blockages are found, replace the pressure switch.
If the Air Flow Switch NO contact shows 20-28 Volts AC
and the ignition control shows an air flow fault, then there
is a bad connection between the blower pressure switch
and the ignition control, or the ignition control is faulty.

Fan blower switch not working

Keep in mind you have an electrical problem and the first place to look is the fuse box. Then the relays. Check if power gets to them. - If not, the switch and/or connections to them may be at fault. - If yes, check the motor. At this point you may know if the problem is there.

The fan is not operating -- when this conditon exists, the unit will not fire up. Here's a link to the manual. The unit needs servicing.

Here are some excerpts from the manual relative to the blower prover and error msgs.

If the Blower Prover switch contacts do not close after the

Combustion Blower is energized the Control System will lock out and display Blower Prover Open

These plastic sensing tubes must be routed to the correct sensing ports on the water heater. Sensing tube

routing should always be checked whenever Blower Prover Open, Blower Prover Failure, Blocked Air

Intake or Blocked Exhaust is displayed on the Control System LCD, see Figure 31 on page 29. These "Fault

Conditions" can be caused by incorrect sensing tube routing.

Ao appears after ignigtion

Either the fan is not working, or the fan prover (pressure switch) switch is stuck. If you can hear the fan going strong, it is most likely the switch. You may try to just clean it out, but you may need a replacement.

This error is produced when the blower prover switch does not close after the blower starts, the control will stop the ignition and go into lockout. Automatic reset is immediate after the blower prover switch closes.

If you keep having this problem, contact a reputable service company, especially if it's under warranty.

The link to the owners manual is below, it references fault codes, etc..

Hope this helps.
