I have a Samsung HLT5076SX/XAA with power up to picture problems.

Im going to guess that you have crackling and hissing noises, as well as the infamous "click" then nothing when you try to start the tv. This is caused by circuit failure on the main board, which powers up the main inverter to charge the screen. ( a high voltage thing that makes the picture come on) when the board cannot provide a high enough starting voltage, the symptoms you described start happening. It is not an easy fix, and will probably set you back a couple hundred dollars or so to fix. I hope the best for you

The lamp on my Sony KDS-50A2000 goes on and off. I do NOT have any blinking lights on the front of the tv. I also entered the self diagnostic screen and had no errors there. I am leaning towards the...

do you see a picture when you turn the tv on and then the lamp goes off and back on? if so then you most likely will just need to replace the lamp that is the most likely suspect. i have never once seen a ballast be bad on that model. and also if it were a ballast failure the tv would register that failure and go into shutdown not cycle. i really suggest replacing the lamp that ballast would most likely be wasted effort

Losing picture when screen shows a white background

Try switching to a different cable provider. I have had many problems with their a/v boxes in the past and have found they aren't very compatible with most newer tv's. Time Warner/Comcast boxes have worked great for me.

Also, don't listen to the electronics stores, they are just out to make money, although it may fix your problem, it is unnecessary.

Check your tv's manual for settings that may fix that problem, like "source refresh time" or anything to do with signal loss and refresh rates.

For more info, contact me.

Thanks for asking!

My Panasonic LCD had a little pop sound and we completely lost our picture. I just bought a new lamp TY-LA1000 and I turn on the TV and the switch color goes from flashing Green to flashing yellow 2 blinks...

You probably need a new ballast. It is a high failure part.If you listen at the back of the set you can hear the ballast make a short buzzing noise every time it tries to light the lamp.If you don't hear this then your ballast is probably bad.

When I turn on the tv, it makes a sparkly sound and shuts off.

You probably have a high voltage failure causing the TV to sense the overload and shut off. There is about 30,000 volt required to light your picture tube focus the picture. If there is a failure anywhere in this circuit you will get the hissing noise and occasionally an ozone smell. I recommend you contact a TV serviceman to diagnose and repair this problem.

Grinding Noise

sounds like the light engine there are alot of problems with the light engines and quite a few have had a grinding noise. The only other possibility would be the color wheel. But I would lean heavier toward the light engine being the fault.
