SOURCE: Need Gas/Oil Mixture

How tiny is the bottle? Don't follow the advice of the entire bottle to one gallon. Bottles come in different sizes. The correct mixture is 50:1. this equals 2.6 ounces of oil for each gallon of gas. You can do the math from there to match the size of your fuel can.

I hope this helps.

SOURCE: carburetor adjustment for Homelite 2 cycle engine

I have the same problem with my MightyLite 26cc Blower/Vac. If it does start it runs rough on full choke and stalls on 1/2 choke or run. I've tried everything, fresh fuel, Seafoam, etc. Nothing works. First time I used it the exhaust burned a hole in my brand new Carhartt hooded sweatshirt. Best solution, throw it away, never buy another Homelite product and tell anyone who will listen what a piece of junk Homelite products are.

SOURCE: carb settings mixture jets on a homelite weedeater st155

ther is no set setting but to get it to run so it can be adjusted. lightly close the high off then open the low about two turns. try to start if starts slowly adust the low screw till it runs normal with the choke all the way off. then start to add throttle while turning the high out till regiured rpms ar reached with no misses. this takes awhile even fo a seasoned mech and may require several attempts

A friend of mine gave me a zr series ,625cdv homelite weed eater and I can't figure out how to adjust the carb. Bought a new primer bulb it crank and run for a little bit but I have to idle it high

Screw in the HIGH and LOW needle valves. Then turn each one out 1 full turn, That should be a good starting point.
After engine is running Run engine at Full throttle. Loosen HIGH screw until the engines RPM slows a bit. When that happens Turn screw back in until it revs high and then just starts to slow again. You do not want the engine to run at it's highest RPM or it's not getting enough Lubrication It need to run Rich, that's why you screw the screw in a bit after the engine has reached it's highest RPM. Let it idle down . Then Accelerate hard, if it hesitates, loosen or tighten the LOW until it accelerates quickly with no hesitation.

Its a homelite 26cs i cant go full throttle if i

Have to adjust the high on the carb. should have, 3 screws, 2 that are together is your h for high, and L for low. the one by itself is for idle. when mackine is running, squeeze throttle and adjust the high til it clears up, if it stalls real fast, back counter clockwise while off, and try to restart it, if worse, go the other way. i do mine by 1/4 turns. keep count of turns in case your going the wrong way! hope this help s!

Why does homelite chainsaw runs wide open?

if your saying your saw runs full speed as soon as it starts , one of two things is happening :
(1) your low speed carb jet is too far open
(2) your throttle trigger has disconnected or become stuck from your carburetor and now the throttle blade inside carb is full open

I have an old Homelite XL chainsaw that still works but that could use some carburetor adjustment because it frequentlyshuts down between cuts. I do not have a manual and I did not see one listed. ...

The H jet needle should be set so that the engine will 4-stroke at full speed, but immediately 2-stroke when cutting. The L jet needle should be set so that the engine will 'follow the throttle', but idle fairly well. Adjust the idle speed screw so that the chain stops turning, but the engine will continue to run. Check the fuel lines for condition and the fuel filter, air cleaner, and muffler for plugging. Make sure the carburetor fasteners are tight. Hope this helps!

24cc craftsman 2 stoke trimmer. took apart everything and cleaned. new fuel lines. cleaned air filter. ran fine saturday. now sunday bogs out while trying to throttle up or just stalls.

Low side adjustment on the carb needs to be opened up or the carb needs to be overhauled. To open up the low sie, find the carb jet adjustment screws. The screw closest to the cylinder is the low side. Turn the screw counter-clockwise 1/2 turn. You may need to romove tho plastic locks from the adjustment screws, or if it is fairly new, you may need to buy a special tool to use on these screws. The tool is available anywhere that sells Poulan parts. If adjusting the screws doesm't fix it, the carb will need to be overhauled or replaced. Check with www.searspartsdirect.com . Replacement carbs are sometimes cheaper than an overhaul.
Good luck!

Setting carb on homelite chainsaw

Make sure that the air cleaner is not choked with sawdust. Turn both H and L jet screws CW to stops (lightly) then back out each 1-1/2 turns CCW. Start the engine and allow to warm up. Pull the throttle full on and adjust H CW so that the engine will speed-up somewhat, but still 4-stroking. Proper final adjustment is to be 4-stroking, but immediately 2-stroke when cutting. Allow to idle and adjust L so that the engine runs fairly smoothly, but will allow the engine to 'follow the throttle'. Set idle speed screw so that the chain doesn't move, but the engine keeps running. Hope this helps!

How do I adjust needle valves on a 25cc Homelite UT08111A Backpack leaf blower?

Set the lowend & highend needles to about 1 3/4 to 2 turns each. Choke the carb or prime it, until the carb is wet. Fire up the engine and let it warm up. Let's set the topend first since it's the easier of the two. Go to full throttle. Adjust the topend needle for peak RPM. Leave it wide open for about a minute to see if it changes any. Should the engine go lean, open the lowend needle slightly, if this dosen't work... you will have to adjust the needle valve inside the carb.( I will explain this later) If the topend runs OK, then slowly pull the throttle down until the engine begins to "four cycle" hold the throttle there. Adjust the lowend needle until the "four cycling" barely stops. Now lower the throttle more until it "four cycles" again, and adjust the lowend again. Keep doing this until you reach full idle. Now, from full idle begin to throttle up until the engine starts to bog or hesitate. Open up the lowend needle just enough to eliminate the bog or hesitation.
