Question about IBM ThinkPad T20 2647 Notebook
I am upgrading the RAMM to 512mb over two slots and am thinking of increasing the hard drive from 12gb to 20 or 40gb.
I would like to run Windows XP Home on this but note that minimum system requirements are 300mhz processing - machine currently fitted with PC100.
Can anyone give any advice on this? - can the processor be upgraded on this model to accommodate or are there other workarounds that can be used?
I currently own 3 Thinkpad T-20 Laptops. They all have a 700 mhz processor in them, and so will yours, more than enough to run windows xp, in fact, I am running Windows XP Profession on one of them. The PC100 is the type of memory it uses, not the processor speed. i recently installed a 120 gb drive in one of them so you will have no problem installing a 20 or 40 gb drive, or larger.
