Saeco aroma compact SE 2GR turns on, but only heats the water.

Hello,
This Saeco machine I bought as a backup to my Vintage Electra espresso machine is not entirely working.
The buttons for selecting 1 & 2 shots do not work or light up.
The machine turns on, water heats up, steaming wand works, but nothing else.
The machine shows a manufacturing date of December/05.
Is there a fuse or some other button I am missing ?
Any help is much appreciated :-)
Thank You :-)
Ross

I had replace my on off rocker switch on my aroma nero after a couple of years I was able to swap out my switch for heating the steam as a temporary fix I purchased a replacement switch from Sacco at that time but I think now you might have to go to a secondary parts dealer I have kept this machine a live for over 12 years and am now going back to it after fighting with my new automatic machine sure it was easy but the taste just was not the same the kids can have it they put so junk in their coffee how would they know [email protected]

I have a saeco aroma coffee machine that will not turn on.. This machine has only two thermostats and no reset button visible. Could there be one inside the boiler or should I keep looking?

The Saeco Brand is under the Philips umbrella of companies. The Aroma line is not considered user serviceable beyond descaling and cleaning. However, most devices that heat water tend to have a fusible link somewhere in the power circuit. If you're already poking around inside, trace the power connection (obviously with the machine unplugged) through to the heating elements, sensors, etc. You might find a small "bit" that looks scorched or burnt.
Otherwise, it might be good to contact Saeco and see if there's an authorized repair center near you. The Aroma is definitely pricey enough not to just dump and replace like an old Mr. Coffee.

The steam light on my Saeco Aroma does not turn on (and no steam comes out), even after the brew light turns on and I press the steam button. How can I get my steam to work?

HI
It is probably your steam thermostat that needs to be replaced. There are 2 thermostats. The Brew and steam. If one of them fail it won't heat the boiler for that mode. They are easy to replace.

My Saeco Aroma Expresso machine has water leaks

Hi,

I think you have to replace the gasket in the machine where the portafiller fits on the machine.

Make sure your filter is clean before you replace any gasket.

Saeco Aroma Espresso Machine.....doesn't draw water.

Hi,

You have to take a bellow pump or similary and fill with water, after that you have to open the steam knob and put force in the water from the bellow pump into the water inlet on the machine.

Hope this will help you, let me know if it works.

No water coming out

Well on a Aroma I allways test to see if its just not air in the machine.

Turn on the machine.

press the coffe button.

Then press the steamer button ( dont turn off the coffe button.)

Do it come out hot water from the steam nossle then after a while?

Then turn of the steam button, if the filter is not blocked there should now come water from the coffe outlet.

Saeco Aroma Espresso pump not drawing water

Hi Espressoless,

You have to force in water to the machine, to this you need a bellow pump or similar and force it into the water tank inlet when you do a priming.
