Remove the flap on the bottom which covers the drain pump & you will see a red tag which is the standby door release.Pull it down & you will hear the door unlock. Drain off the water through the small black hose then unscrew the pump cover & remove the cause of the pump jam (hair clip etc)

Siemens hydrosensor dishwasher, no water

If your plumber has looked at it and said hydrosensor is faulty then replace hydrosensor, or get a new dishwasher. Just compare cost of fixing or replacing.

Why it doesn't spin

almost all washing machines have a special switch to turn off or don't let spin when door is open. If machine 'thinks' that door is open, won't spin. "" Danger, Will Roberson...Danger..."" If you don't know what U are doing, please get help. An open switch looks like door is open. The switch is INSIDE the body of washing machine, ON the door is a plastic piece that pushes the switch lever in. You have to place 'jumpers' across the contacts on switch, shorting switch and turning machine to spins cycle.

I have a frigidaire affinity front loader washer that the final spin cycle won't work on. The rest of the wash cycle is fine and the basket spins for the other cycles just not the spin cycle. It is also...

There is an auxiliary switch in the door lock and switch assembly that is activated at the end of the wash cycle for the machine to advance to the spin cycle. This is a safety feature to prevent the door from opening during the spin cycle and the machine will not spin unless the switch is activated. The machine works except advancing to the spin cycle and this signifies that the auxiliary switch cannot be activated and the door lock and switch assembly is faulty. Replaced the door lock and switch assembly (part #131763202) to address the issue.

Disconnect power to the machine. Open the washer door then look for the retaining hoop securing the door seal around the lip of the door opening. Stretch the retainer spring of the door seal retaining hoop then remove it.

Carefully peel off part of the door seal from the lip of the door opening near the door lock and switch assembly. Remove enough of the door seal to gain access to the door lock and switch assembly.

Remove the screws securing the door lock and switch assembly to the front panel. Once the screws are removed, lift the door lock and switch assembly then pull it away from the front panel.

Take the door lock and switch assembly out of the machine. Disconnect the electrical connections then connect it to the new door lock and switch assembly.

Put the new door lock and switch assembly back into position in the front panel and secure it with the securing screws.

Properly put the eased part of the door seal back over the lip of the door opening then secure it with the retaining hoop.

Model not sure 10yrs? HydroSensor,(only title On

Try and drain water out completely and restart cycle. Note if water comes in and if so, once in is there a hum (audible) when in effect the motor should run. If so, the motor is jambed and needs to be cleared. Check the door limit has not malfunctioned as well. It can be bridged temporary to confirm.
