My panasonic laptop has 5 vertical lines across the screen. Each line is about an inch wide and is made up of many horizontal flickering lines. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Boot to safe mode that is you press F8 when the unit is starting and keep tapping it till you reach advanced startup menu. If you still have the lines then the display is bad. If it goes away then the drivers are wrong.
