Are you trying to change the dpi settings? If this is so, try the following:
For Windows XP -
Right click on your desktop and select "display properties".
A box will show up. At the top of that box, select the "settings tab" then click on the advanced button. From there, make sure you are in the "general" section by clicking the proper tab near the top. There will be a dropdown box where you can change the dpi setting. This will increase the font sizes for you.
In Windows Vista -
Click your start menu and go to the control panel. When in your control panel, you will see a search bar at the top. Just type in "adjust font size". It will bring you to the Personalization, adjust font size (dpi) option. Click on that and you can increase the font size there.
Windows 7 -
Right click on your desktop and select personalize. On the right, select display. You can adjust the dpi from here.
