ilo dvd recorder, dvdr05 will not power on and is make high pitched hissing noise.

  • cindyslair Sep 19, 2008

I bought this DVDR05 recorder 3 years ago and didn't need to use it more than twice.
I decided to start using it more and now it won't power on (even though I changed the remote's battery) and it emits a high pitched hiss when it's connected to a power source.
    I'd apppreciate any solutions offered~Cindy

3 burner - front and rear ignite, middle does not. Replaced all 3 burners. Still does not light. Suggestions?

It might be an igniter problem. It might be a problem with the gas tank (either empty or not releasing the gas). It could be a problem with the control valves or even with a safety mechanism that prevents relighting the grill after multiple tries because of a possible gas build-up. Make sure the gas tank is full and releasing gas - you should be able to hear a hissing noise in the burner compartment. If you can hear the noise then you need to check the igniter and make sure you are getting a spark, and that the spark is reaching the burner. If you can't hear a noise then either the control valves are the problem or the safety mechanism is operating. You can also call Weber and they are pretty good at helping you figure out the problem.

Hi, my disk drive on my samsung r370 is making funny noises and is not recognising any disks?

make sure that the dvd burner is getting enough power test all leads that are attached to the dvd burner including electical extensions and make sure they have a secure connection or just replace them there might be bad/faulty
or
you might have to uninstall both the dvd/cd + its drivers then reinstall them actually unplug the cd/dvd from its power cable then restart your computer plug it back in your computer should activate found new hardware or
control panel admistrive tools, computer management, device manager scroll down cd dvd rom drives right click you can you can update driver, roll back driver,or select properties general troubleshoot, select driver click to reinstall drivers click update driver or uninstall then reinstall

When i started to power on my laptop, i heard its hard disk or i dont know what that thing was making a noise, its just like a machine inside,. This is not like before,. Maybe you can help me to find out...

Most likely the DVD burner or the hard drive open and close the drive and turn off and on then let me know if it makes the same noise. If you put a disk in it the next time for the second test to see if it is still making noise. If it does then it may be the DVD burner.

use a cleaning CD, it should solve the problem. If you hear noises but the reading is normal with no brakes, that is not a problem, it`s normal .

Kenmore Burner Hissing Noise?

You are on the right track. Check if you can clean the burner. It may help. If you do have to replace the burner, get the stainless steel replacement. It costs a little more, but it lasts 10x longer than the steel burner assembly.

Hissing.

If the hissing noise is from the LCD, it could be from the power supply due to failing capacitors. This noise is generated when the TV is trying to compensate for the lack of voltage/curent requirements.

Distortion/noise and buzz in front left speaker

Try to see if the reciever will make the buzzing/noise without anything connected to it except power, and speakers. Tune into a local radio station and see if the noise continues. If the noise has stopped, then you know there is an issue with the player or cable.
