Waooo is gues su have a leak if the heat exchanger is leaking this may be due to a low PH level on the water? if the leak is at the fitting than replace the fittins

How to flush coolant from a 2003 holden vectra zc


Disconnect upper and lower radiator hoses while vehicle running. Insert water hose on upper hose and let it run water until you no longer see coolant coming out. Remember to have heaters running to also clean heater core.
Once clear water comes out of lower hose, turn vehicle off and re-attach both hoses. Fill with proper coolant and run vehicle with heaters on. Take for a drive to remove any air from system. Then top off with coolant.

Engine lite on 2002 4.0 new gas cap


V A new gas cap dose not always solve the problem with the EVAP system .
And understand the concept of the system is unsound to begin with .
What its supposed to do it store fuel vapor in a sealed system in a charcoal filled canister at the rear near the fuel tank .It has a vent valve from the tank to the canister most likely problem .The vent valve has a filter air needs to get in so the tank can vent into the canister but vapor can't get out .Its an electrically controlled solenoid that opens in conjunction with the canister purge solenoid located on the intake manifold .
When the engine rpms reach a high enough speed the purge valve is supposed to open and burn the fuel.
With cheap materials from China the fuel system rusts out the tank the lines all of the seals in a few years add road salt you are left with nothing except a government mandate drafted by fools .
The last time I filled up my tank hundreds of times more fuel vapor went in to the upper atmosphere then my vehicle with the evap not working in a year .

Replace the valve and check that the fuel tank is not continually being over filled . ON some cars the tank can only be filled to when the nozzle cuts off automatically and filling right to the filler cap allows fuel into the canister and floods the system. Run fault codes to check for any other system faults.

Connect the trailer to the city water supply, turn on the water and open each faucet until clean clear water is present. Don't forget the toilet and outside shower if equipped. Next reinstall the anode rod (suburban) or drain plug (atwood) into the water heater. Go to the back side of the water heater and close the valve on the pipe that connects the cold (bottom line into water heater) and hot (upper line out of the water heater) and then open the bottom cold water line valve and, if equipped, the upper hot water valve. This will fill the water heater. Open the hot water valve at the kitchen faucet. When the water flow is steady the water heater is full and ready for use. If the unit is equipped with a water filer, after all is flushed out, turn the water off and remove the filter housing. Install a new filter and re-secure the housing and turn the water back on. If you are using the fresh water pump, it is possible that the winterizing valve for the pump was left open. If so, close that valve which will divert the pump back to drawing from the tank.

DOES WATER IN GO ON TOP OR BOTTOM OF HEATER


1) Low-boy water heater, cold water connects to lower inlet pipe and hot to upper outlet pipe.
Cold enters bottom of heater and then hot water rises to top where it leaves tank.

2) With larger water heaters both hot and cold connections are on top of tank, but the cold water goes to the bottom through the dip tube.

Chrysler & Jeep Cooling System & HVAC Service: Every car make has its quirks, and Chrysler and Jeep vehicles are no exception. In researching this article, we found several examples of heater problems in these vehicles that seem to be fairly common.

On 2001 and 2002 Sebring Sedan, Sebring Convertible and Stratus Sedan, plus 1993 to 2002 Chrysler Concorde, LHS, New Yorker and 300M, Eagle Vision and Dodge Intrepid models with V6 engines, customers may complain their engine is overheating, or the heater is putting out little or no heat.

Chrysler Technical Service Bulletin 07-002-02 says the problem can be caused by a low coolant level in the cooling system. On these vehicles, air trapped inside the cooling system can displace coolant when the system is refilled. The radiator and coolant reservoir may appear to be full, but there still may be air inside the heater core and heater hoses. This will create a low coolant level that may lead to overheating and low heater output. The bulletin provides a special fill procedure to eliminate the trapped air so the cooling system can be completely filled.

The procedure goes as follows:
1. Obtain Chrysler special tool 8195 (Cooling System Filling Aid). The tool looks like a funnel and attaches onto the filler neck (just as a regular pressure cap does). But it also has a hose clip.
2. Attach the filling aid tool to the cooling system filler neck. Use the clip to pinch off the overflow hose attached to the fill neck. Attach a 4-6' long 1/4" ID clear hose to the bleed valve. Put the end of the hose into a clean container (to prevent coolant from spilling onto the accessory drive belts).
3. Open the cooling system air bleed valve before any coolant is added. If you do not do this, air can remain trapped inside the system and you won't get all the air out. On 1998 and later models with 2.7L engine, the valve is located on the water outlet connector at the front of the engine. On 3.2L and 3.5L engines, the valve is located on the lower intake manifold, left of center under the upper intake manifold. On 1993-'97 models with 3.3L and 3.5L engines, the valve is on the thermostat housing.
4. Pour a 50/50 mixture of coolant and water into the large side of the filling aid funnel. Use distilled, deionized or reverse-osmosis purified water, not ordinary tap water, which may contain salt or minerals that could contaminate the coolant.
5. Slowly fill the cooling system through the large side of the filling aid. Watch the hose connected to the bleed valve. When a steady stream of coolant comes out of the hose, close the bleed valve and continue filling to the top of the filling aid.
6. On 1993-'97 models, place a small, clean container below the end of the overflow hose. Then remove the clip from the overflow hose. Any excess coolant in the filling aid will now drain into the overflow section of the coolant bottle or into the container.
7. On 1993-'97 models, remove the reservoir and recycle the excess coolant.
8. Remove the filling aid from the fill neck. Make sure the filler neck and cap are clean, then replace the pressure cap on the coolant bottle.

Note: 1998 and later coolant bottles have two chambers. Coolant will normally only be in the inboard (smaller) of the two. The outboard chamber is only to recover coolant in the event of an overheat and should normally be empty - except for the coolant drained from the filling aid. This coolant will be drawn back into the pressurized side of the cooling system over time.

Overheating


You have an air lock in the cooling system.
Do this: pull upper radiator hose off the radiator leaving it connected to the block, pour coolant into hose until filled ( you might have to do it to the radiator also). Once filled reconnected hose back to the radiator, then fill resevior to proper level. Start car turn heater on full. Let car run with cap off resevior until it starts pulling coolant in. Once warmed up shut car off let cool. Check fluid level again.

Having trouble pumping gas into 2005 hyundai elantra


You have a blocked or restricted evaporative cannister or vent valve or both. When you fill the tank with gas, the air is expelled through a line attatched to the emissions cannister and then through another line to the vent valve. If these are restricted or damaged, this could cause your symptoms. Usually you can still fill the tank very slowly though. Usually, the canister ges saturated from gas from overfilling (topping off).
The fix is to replace the EVAP canister.
