You need to load the PRINTED ALIGNMENT PAGE on the scanner glass, then press on "OK" button. It should start scanning the alignment page. That way, you are completing the PROCESS of ALIGNMENT.

More likely especially if the paper was pulled out backwards, that the paper sensor just before the platen roller is bent or broken. When you pull paper back up thru the feeder it gets caught on this sensor tab and it gets bent, holding it up just like a paper scrap would. If it's broken or you can't locate it to bend it straight, you will need a shop to repair your printer.

The HP Customer Care site says that if th check paper and check print cartridge lights are blinking, it is most likely that the carriage assembly, which holds the ink cartridges has stalled against the left side of the printer. occasions.
