HP DESKJET G2410 SELF TESTS BUT DOES NOT RESPOND TO COMPUTER
EACH TIME I SEND A DECUMENT TO BE SCANNED, THE SCANNER WILL HUM AND **** A LITTLE AND STILL LIKE THAT FOR 2 TO 3 MINUTES WITHOUT THE ROLLERS MOVING AND THEN ERROR MESSAGE WHICH READS UNABLE TO PREVIEW ,MAYBE THE SCANNER IS BEEN USED! WAIT AND TRY AGAIN!
THE SCANNER ROLLS FINE DURING THE SELF TEST! PLEASE SOMEONE SHOULD HELP/ASSIST

It's not the scanner that creates the PDF, you need scanning software capable of saving scanned image as PDF. loaded on your computer. The software determines where to send and how to save a scanned document.
From the HP website, on the G2410 support and drivers page: "If what you were looking for is not listed, then it is not available for downloading from the web in this OS and language" In short, you are SOL. You could try the Windows XP drivers (they'd be the closest match), but your mileage may vary. A lot. I've tried tricks such as this before with HP products with little success.
