Question about Sewing Machines
I suspect it is a capacitor near the motor on the bottom. When these go bad the speed will be eratic. Sometimes these can just be disconnected and it will run fine. The capacitor was just for noise reduction on peoples radios back in the day. Yet when they go bad the machine can run full out. You may need a tech with electrical knowledge. Sorry, I'm just saying.
