Hi, You need to make sure that does it print or not. If it is printer then you need to disconnected printer HP 6310 printer and uninstall hp software using printer installation disk after that reboot your computer and reinstall completed printer software.
You can preview a scan and adjust to whatever size you need by moving the dotted lines around the scanned image. Once that is determined you can rescan the doucument with the revised settings.
