After replacing the lamp per the instructions:

  • You should first check to make you sure you have the TV plugged into the wall outlet. Make sure that you have the lamp door put back on securely. Next, you should unplug the TV and leave it unplugged for 1 minute. After 1 minute, plug the TV back in. Following the previous procedure resets the control system of the TV. If your TV still does not turn on, continue to the next step.
  • First, make sure the lamp is properly installed in the housing and it is fit and screwed in the TV completely. If the TV is still doing this, the problem is usually one of two things.
  • It could be the lamp or the ballast. The indicator lights on the TV may be flashing a code that means the lamp is defective, but the TV is flashing that code only because the lamp did not strike. The TV has no way of knowing if the lamp is good or bad. If you have replaced the lamp and it is still doing it, you should contact who you bought the lamp from for a warranty claim.
  • If you eliminate the lamp as the problem then it usually is the ballast. The buzzing sound is the ballast trying to start the lamp. The ballast may not be producing enough voltage to start the lamp. A ballast is a part you will likely not want to replace yourself, we recommend that you contact a trained/certified TV technician for servicing.

I replaced the lamp on my toshiba 42HM66 and that worked for about 2 weeks. I ordered a new lamp and replaced it. Now the lamp light blinks amber and then the power light blinks green at about 30 second...

You will need to check if the output supply going to the lamp is good. If not the ballast will need replacement. That model is actually famous for haveing ballast issues. You can get the replacement ballast from www.tvcircuitboards.com they also assist with installation assistance if you require it.

I think that you have a problem with your ballast board this is the power source to the lamp if for any reason it starts to wear out or weak it will not be able to turn on your lamp check this link out it is about Toshiba lawsuit

Humming Noise at the back of my Toshiba 62 dlp lamp is working but no picture

You probably should have the TV looked at by a technician. if your lamp is lighting up then most likely the noise is the color wheel itself.

Most likely the lamp is dying. Try replacing the lamp before calling a repair tech. What does the Owners manual say about the blink lights?

Toshiba 62; DLP 720P- Alot more red and green

You have probably have installed the wrong lamp or you installed a third party/off brand Lamp. If that is the case anything other than a Factory replacement Lamp will have a different color temprature. Install a Lamp that is listed from the manufacture.
