and then an error would pop up saying: "windows explorer has stop working
" so went into safe mode and scanned for viruses and then deleted the ones
i found. i then switched on my laptop and it wouldnt get past the welcome
screen after i typed my password. it froze so i did a manual shutdown . when i
switched it on it said something about repairing some system files, so i let it
repair.. now when i type in my password it goes past the welcome screen..but on
to a blank screen where i can only see the mouse pointer. Please help if possible.thanks ur help will be really apreciated..
Dear User,
here is simple solution for you.
Start your computer in safe mode and then restore your operating system to the earlier time through start button-->programs-->accessories-->system tools-->System restore.
This will resolve your problem.

Testimonial: "thankyou .. but when i tried this it says system files are corrupt and the the window disappears"
It sounds like some system files have been deleted.
If you have the Recovery CD, put it in the CD Reader Drive and start the computer. Choose "R" for Recovery and follow the instructions.
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the Camera.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. Follow the installation wizard that appears.
4. At the License Agreement dialog, read the agreement. Click I Agree to continue with the installation.
NOTE: Several setup boxes may briefly appear during the installation. Follow the installation wizard that appears.
5. When the installation finishes, please restart the computer if needed.

But i read a forum on Xp and its says xp is discontinued from microsoft or sth... what do you say .. must i move to xp or not... or do a dual boot thing with both .. thankyou
R U using WinXp and do you have this Xp Disc? If you do have this Disc, you boot up your copmputer with this disc in the CD-rom and it will actually asked you if you want to repair. Say yes, and it will put back some of your missing files
