Question about Dryers
Not drying - indicator shows AF - it is a Cabrio Model, there is some heat, but not enought to dry
I didn't start seeing that AF indicator until I moved into a different house. Last night it took 3 hours to dry a small load of laundry. I went down into the crawl space and took apart the dryer ventilation ducts, cleaned them out thoroughly with a brush and found that moisture had been accumulating in there as well. Once I cleaned all the vents out and sealed them back up (with metal duct tape), I ran the dryer EMPTY for 40 minutes to give the ducts a chance to dry out and push the rest of the lint out.
Just ran a load of sheets in there (which was taking 50-70 minutes to dry) and they dried in only 25 minutes.
Long story short - CLEAN OUT YOUR DUCTS. My dryer works like new now.
