Whenever i start dubbing a movie from sky movies on a dvd my picture always gets fuzzy

there is usually a signal embedded within movies which prevents the film being opied to DVD. on some recorders the picture will go fuzzy, on others the picture will alternate between light and dark picture. this is quite normal and deliberately done by sky to prevent people copying films.

Hello! I have just purchased a LG DRT389H DVD recorder as I want to copy the programmes that I hv on my sky+ box. I have followed every instruction in the book but for some reason am just unable to do so....

Connect the sky box to the dvd with a scart lead, plug it into av2 on the dvd. When you want to record from the sky, select av2 on the dvd as your record channel.Check that the scart is fully in on the tv and the sky for sound problem.

I have copied camcorder film onto a cd but it will not play on my dvd player/TV

There is a difference between copying and recording. If CD is used, probably the format is not DVD format. Only few players accept Video CD and other similar formats. If a DVD is recorded, then it must be finalized in the recorder itself for plying back in other units.

Recording from Sky+

could be possible that Sky TV is right protected therefore making it hard or impossible to record.

Not recording a full film

1. Insert disc.
2. Press "DVD" button on remote.
3. Press "REC MODE/REC SPEED" button.
4. Keep pressing until desired recording speed.

I believe your problem is that the movie exceeds the 120 minute limit on the target disc at the default recording speed (SP). Try LP instead.

Souud delay on tv /amp

Instead of connecting each device (sky&dvd rec.) to the TV separately, I would simply hook up the sky to dvd recorder (connect the sky output and dvd recorder input), and then connect the dvd recorder output (must be called "play out") to one of the available recorder inputs (which could be a dvr, an empty tape input, etc)of your amp. However, you'll still have to establish a feedback between your dvd recorder and your amp. Therefore, if the dvd rec. supports it, you'll have to hook up the rec.out, which is on your amp.,to on your dvd recorder. After all these audio connections, you will only need to make a video connection among the sky, dvd rec., and tv. Get a video cable to hook up the sky video output to your dvd recorder's video input, then do the same thing between the dvd recorder's tv output and tv.

Wife moaning at sound delay.......why.....

The sound delay would not be caused by hooking amp up but must be a software problem in sky box. Try to get an off air station with a antenna and see if the problem persists. The dvd recorder should see your sky box output first then out from recoder to tv.Then use tv audio out to amp,or tv audio out to amp.
