Often this is because you have put too many items in the wash and they are pinched and rubbing. It can also be something like a sheet gets stretched out because of the agitation and is rubbing against something. Do you ever see it in a small load? You might just be overloading a tad. I used to have this with my old washer, it's a bummer.

Have you examined the drum inside? Can there be a needle, nail or any other sharp item sticking in the holes of the drum, which puncture your clothes?

Take a close look and let me know.

It seems a minor problem for me, but cannot say anything without checking your washing machine. You should better call washing machine repairer to fix this minor problem.

Holes are usually caused by overloading the machine - but a sharp edge is a major fault and you need to call the engineers out and or seek a replacement as a repair is a major undertaking.

My Bush A146q washing machine keeps tearing clothes.

Run your hand round the inner drum and look for sharp edges, also overloading causes torn clothing

Washer making holes in clothes

Feel the drum inside for any sharp object example a pin that is sticking sideways in a hole or the the drum spot-weld spots that came lose making a high spot.
I did find the same kind of a problem with a Defy front Loader machine. You can also check the gap between the door and the drum lip.
Hope this will solve your problem and save yourself from spending big bucks on new clothes.

check the drain hole when you start the machine if the water is coming back out , if yes that means your dump valve is bad.

There may be some pieces of mat stuck between the inner and outer drums. The quickest way to remove this is to remove the drain hose that leads from the drum to the pump and feel around the bottom of the outer drum and remove any foreign objects that may be stuck in there.
