Dear User,

Please remove the RAMs from the motherboard slots and then switch on your computer. if it give beep for RAM then your motherboard is almost ok. if it does'nt give any beep then there would be problem at motherboard side. Then switch off your computer remove power. and then remove (CMOS) battery from motherboard to reset. and then start your computer while making sure that power is not connected to computer. this is for the releasing of power in motherboard so that BIOS gets to be factory defaults.

then install battery and RAM then powerup your computer hopefully it will work fine. if it does'nt then Motherboard have critical problem.

Gove59,
Please check all Capacitors around the CPU. If the caps have dome shape caps then you need to have them replace. They are about .29 per cap and if you have a friend who solders... you should have computer back

I popped the CMOS battery out of my similar dell board for 10 min, then put it back in and it fired right up. It's the one that looks like a nickel on the motherboard.

Asus 945 motherboard is in stand by mode. When I power on , the LED of mother board is glow The cpu fan just jurking and stop. And the LED of motherboard is still now glow.

Hi kausik, that green led you see on the motherboard is just letting you know there is power to the board. (This is normal).
You'r CPU fan jerking & stopping is a bad thing & has nothing to do with standby mode. Your CPU fan needs to be replaced.
There are a bunch of Asus 945 boards, just click the link to see.

If you are able to remove the fan from the heatsink than you may be able to buy a fan from here.

Most people replace both heat sink & fan.

Have more questions, feel free to ask.
Good Luck!
