Question about Dryers
Hi, my tumble drier is overheating i think...
yesterday i accidentally dried a door mat with a rubber trim in my tumble drier. the tumble drier cut off after a bit, and it wasn't until later that my boyfriend realised that i had dried the mat, which he said the rubber would have melted in the drier, hence the reason why it wouldn't work.
i have tried the drier this morning and it worked for about 15 minutes then cut off again so i just wondered if this is because it is overheating, and what can i do to resolve this?
If the rug was very heavy you could have burnt up the motor. If it will restart after it cools off, replace the motor and clean out the vent system.
