The ink pad is found below the cartridge and is what collects the unused/extra ink. Refer to your owners manual for exact instructions.

Ink waste absorber is full. Canon IP2000. How do I repair it?

Well, at some point you will need to either replace or wash the absorber pads in the printer - but you can reset the warning as follows:

1) Turn the printer off
2) Press and hold the <resume>button
3) Press and hold the <power> button
4) While holding down <power> release <resume>
5) With the power button still held down, press <resume> twice more
6) Release the power button
7) Press and release the <resume> button 4 times
8) Press and release the <power> button twice

At this point, the printer should come back online with the waste ink warning reset

Personally, I would only do this once before actually changing the ink absorber pad...

My printer is not working since we had a power outage.

Inkjet printers have a fibrous pad inside them that collects the waste ink from cleaning the print head. Over time, this pad fills up with ink and can no longer hold any more. When this occurs, the printer indicates a "waste ink tank full" error.

The flashing orange and green alternately light indicates that the error the printer is experiencing requires it to be sent into an authorized canon service facility.

Replacing the waste ink absorbtion pads is something the service facility can take care of for you. Once they are replaced, it'll be functional again.

Epsomc44ux red and green light fashing does nothing

If both lights are flashing, it means the Waste Ink Pads in your printer are saturated with ink and the waste ink ("protection") counter has exceeded its limit. The Waste Ink Pads should be replaced as soon as possible. You can overcome this problem temporarily by using the SSC utility - download from

http://www.ssclg.com/epsone.shtml

and reset the Protection Counter. This will stop the lights flashing and restore normal operation.

However, remember that eventually ink will overflow from the waste ink area and make a dreadful mess, so you must change the waste ink pads before this happens. This requires the disassembly of the printer. A copy of the service manual is available from a number of sellers - just Google "Epson C44 Service Manual". You will often find them for sale very cheaply on E-Bay. Note, however, if you can find or borrow any of the C40,42,44,60,62 service manuals, as far as ink pad replacement goes, they are the same.

I850 printer problem

Right, This fault is due to the waste ink pads being full, The machine will stop working until the machine has been servcied and cleared. Normally it is the end of life once the ink pads are full. By time you get a engineer out with new pads and for him to fit them it would cost more then a new machine, so i would buy a new machine with a one year canon warrenty , be so much eaiser and cheaper

hope this helps

Waste tank full

Inkjet pads are between the printer chassis and the bottom of the printer case. Typically a large felt pad.
My Canon i9100 has eight orange flashes and indicates on screen "waste ink tank is full". After opening up mine I found this to be false, only one third soiled. This then leads me to believe the i9100 has a timer to go off after a preset number of hours.

Anyone know how to reset the "full waste ink tank" error?

Not printing - Flashing lights!!

If the following happens to your printer from canon's support page i found these:

"Issue: Power light (or Alarm and Power lights) alternate(s) between orange and green
Solution: The i350 may require repair

Unfortunately, the issue you describe seems to indicate that your product may require repair service. If you feel your product might require service, a Technical Support Representative will be happy to answer any questions you may have and explain the service options available to you. You can contact us through the email link or phone numbers listed below."

If your having an error that says "Parts inside the printer are at the end of there Service life" it means that you ink pad is full/ what you can do is change your ink pad and then download an ink pad reset utility so that you can reset the settings/ Make sure to change ink pad before you reset it becuase ink will leak if you don't change it. For the flashing lights, try to check for obstructions inside the printer if not, make sure that ink clicked in and the cover for the tray is closed
