Power supply is most likely the problem since its a classic symptom. The good news is its an easy fix if you have simple electronic skills, a soldering iron, and a few dollars in parts.

Turn it down or it will turn itself down permanently.

Read the paragraph labeled "CONNECTION" on Page 2 of the SP-MXG70 (last) part of the document.

Generally speaking, an amp attempts to protect itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

Sherwood rd8601 When you turn the receiver on, it automatically turns itself off, will not stay on.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

F61 usually means the amp has detected a short or a severe microprocessor error.

hold the menu and input/device buttons for 5 seconds and it will blink you a 2 digit code
1-2 normal operation
2-3 i believe is short circuit protection = probably a convergence failure

Samsung 650 series fflat screen turn power on tv turns it self on and off many times by itself befor it stays on now it wont stay on only turns on and off

My research indicated that the problem is related to the power supply over heating. My wife suggested that we place our small 6" fan behind the tv. We did & the tv has not shut off for three days. Hope this works for you.

Tv shuts off by itself then flashes a code 8 blinks

Eight blinks means, "High voltage error". The probable cause location listed is "T8005 is faulty (D board). T8005 is the fly-back transformer (FBT). or you can replace the full d-board
You may purchase the D board complete for $185.10

or send in for repair here

if one of the crt is shorted it can also cause this problem.
