SOURCE: removing stand from tv
UNSCREW the FOUR (4) screws on the back panel (marked with an "S" next to their recessed holes.
Work with the panel screen-side up (ie on its back - we did it with the LCD on the bed), and just JIGGLE the stand back and forth until the screws drop out. This make take some doing, but using force is a no-no (as the screw mounts are only plastic). Obviously the screws MUST be undone, so just keep unscrewing them while someone else jiggles for you.
Thats it. The plastic cover (from the manual & warranty bag) covers the hole.

Place the tv on its screen flat on a soft surface,
you need to remove all the screws, not just the stand one marked.
Lift the back panel and then you will be able to slide down the stand, when you have removed the back cover you will also see where how your wall mount will fit to the chassis.
Place all the screws back on the back lid.

If you lay the TV down on something soft but firm (towel on the floor or counter) put the screen face down on the back you should see 4 screw holes with the an (S) next to them. They are located at the center near the bottom. If you remove these screws the stand should then slide out of the bottom of the TV. Good Luck
