Question about Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
I don't have the same display as you have but I've found reference to a LOT of people who have had the same issue. I would try to update your display drivers and see if that makes a difference.
You can find out what version driver you're using by going to Start/Control Panel. If you're in Classic View, select "System". If you're in Catagory view, select "Performance and Maintenance" then select "System". Click on the "Hardware" tab then click on "Device Manager". Double click on "Display Adapters". R-mouse on the device then choose "Properties". Select the "Driver" tab. That and the "Driver details" will show you all the info about the driver you are currently using.
