Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional

1 Answer

Post-Restore Problems I recently had to restore my computer. I got Mozilla firefox on it afterwards, and installed aim messaging. However, I can not sign in, and it says it is a connection issue. I had been actively using the Internet at that time. This and other miscellaneous issues (like my sound not working despite it being fully set up) occur and I do not know why. Please help.

Undo the restoration. This will solve your issue. The problems you are facing are due to the false restoration date. The restored date is not good.

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

When trying to go to firefox or upgrade/download it shows the following message (also showing when I try to link in outlook 2007)Failed to read the configuration file. Please contact your system admin

Uninstall Mozilla Firefox like you normally would and then you need to go DELETE THE FOLDER for Mozilla under C:\Program FIles\ to make sure EVERYTHING is gone. Then try re-installing Firefox again and let us know.

Firefox accidently deleted during system restore

You will need to download and reinstall firefox. Also, it's usually a good idea to use the latest version as there are usually patches and security updates with new releases.

Hope that helps!

Sorry, I stated the question wrong. I do not want game cd's to open up in word pad format because I do not understand the computer language and can't get them to install right.

I still don't understand your question or problem but here is what I get out of it.

First of all Mozilla Firefox is your Internet Browser, not your Internet Service. Your Internet Service is provided by who you pay the monthly check to each month.

Now, it sounds like you have downloaded and installed something that you did not want, so you want to take it off.

If that is true, click Start and in the Search Box type in: System Restore. Look up towards the top and the search results will appear and you can click on System Restore. System Restore will allow you to select a Restore Point (date and time) to roll your system back to before you started having problems. System Restore will not delete any of your data, documents, music, pictures, videos or programs (unless the program was installed after the restore point you selected).

So in your case just select a Restore Point (date and time) that is before you downloaded and installed the program you don't want.

When I go to open Firefox a bottom pops up saying, "firefox is already open" that I need to restart my computer" to log on. This happens quite often, and I actually do not have any windows...

Probably you have a trojan virus in your system. Try to do a System Restore to solve the problem. Scan your computer afterwards with your anti-virus. If this not solve the problem, try to use your Windows OS CD installer, boot it and use CHKDSK to repair files and your system.

Hi, be more specific on the OS you are using. Win98 doesn't have System Restore.
If you are having trouble with the web browser, try downloading and installing Mozilla Firefox from www.getfirefox.com.
