Movies dont work on windows media player.. but i dont want to download vlc ...whats wrong?

Probably a missing codec. Have you downloaded the Ffdshow codec pack?

Always use VLC. you can't find any other app which you can open ANY VİDEO FİLE.
download free codec packs. ACE CODEC PACK , VİSTA CODEC PACK (this one is specifically for WMP) and my favorite one K-LİTE PACK.
