G7 Wireless Mouse keep double clicking

I have a logitech G7 cordless laser mouse, which works very well till I upgraded my desktop memory from 512mb to 2gb. After that, everytime I single click the left button, it becomes a double click. And the mouse becomes a little unstable. I have updated the driver of the mouse and the bios version of my desktop, but the problem still exists. My desktop is dimension 8400, and the updated memory is crucial 4200 ddr2. Anyone has any idea what's going on? Thanks a lot!

I have a non-wireless mouse (not the G7), every time I do a single click it double clicks. It makes it almost impossible to change folder names or highlight text.

I also have the Logitech Cordless Laser Mouse, and am having the problem with it double clicking. I think it may be a hardware issue, for I have reinstalled the drivers, updated them. Unassociated and re-associated the mouse, and even checked the settings to no avail. But When I click, sometimes I feel it double clicking under my finger.

I also have the G7 mouse and for the first month or 2 it was working fine, now i have the same issue with it double clicking and even clicking by itself sometimes.
i have remove the software and hardware in device manager but the issue persists and after 3 months it look like its going in the bin.

Same problem, 3 months old. It happens mostly if my finger if resting on the button close to the scroll wheel. If I reposition my finger it helps, but that makes the mouse uncomfortable.

Same Problem, use canned air to clean it. bash the button a few times. seems to help for a while. Dont bash it to hard or you'll break it. love the mouse but this is a crappy issue within 3 months of use. in a clean environment.

It's possible the Firefly remote is interfering. It's also possible the mouse is going bad (G7s have been around for a while). I'd contact Logitech and see what they can do for you - their warranty support for mice is terrific.

Logitech G7 cordless laser mouse - erratic action

Acting on advice from another FixYa string, we blew out the mouse and dock several times with canned air. It performed slightly better, but then as we continued to use the mouse it suddenly cleared and is working almost 100% now.

From reading earlier strings, I'm wondering why Logitech (in its product material received on purchase) doesn't recommend this as periodic maintenance for the mouse?
