My in door ice maker solenoid needs to be replaced. I have the part (appliance guru), but I'm not sure how to access and remove the current solenoid. Is their a manual showing how to access the old part in trhe side by side freezer door?

- I am looking to access the solenoid that is in the freezer door, in other words, I need to either open the icemaker control panel (crushed, cubes, water) from the exterior of the door or the interior of the door. The solenoid and plunger that I need to replace are located there. I'm just not sure if I have to take the entire stainless steel exterior cover off to access it, or if there is some easier way.
Go behind the ice box and look for the water line going in. The water valve will be connected to the line. Be sure to shut off the water before attempting to do anythang.

I have a GE Monogram refrigerator and the freezer side works fine but the fridge side is getting hotter and hotter. Lights fans and what not work, but will not cool. I had to unplug it because the fridge side got so hot (118 degrees).
Any suggestions??

There is mildew building up inside the unit. My company has the exact same model and it has no mildew. I assume that the internal temp is too high, but don't know why. This is a zdi15c under-counter ice maker.

GE Monogram m/n ZD1S15CSSJ S/N VG930101 ICE CUTTER IS NOT STAYING HOT ENOUGH TO CREATE CUBES. THE SHEET OF ICE BEGINS TO BE SLICED BY THE TOP LAYER, BUT THEN IT STOPS.THEN THE CYCLE BEGINS AGAIN, AND ANOTHER SHEET OF ICE IS DEPOSITED , THEN THE WATER WHEN IT IS CYCLED AGAIN, GETS DIVERTED TO THE ICE CUTTER AND OVER THE PARTIAL CUT ICE SHEET. NOT CREATING ICE.
