Question about Frigidaire Washing Machines
I wrote you my problem and it was answered. However, it seems that the part I need will cost about$130.00 before I get it shipped and installed. I would now like to know if I can get around the ''lift the lid'' problem and just hard wire the switch. There are just the two of us (adults), no kids, so no problem on that score. I just want to know if it is possible to do it and have it work.
YWS YOU CAN JUMP THE SWITCH MINE HAS BEEN JUMPED FOR YEARS. YOU MUST RAISE THE LID ONE YOUR MASHER AND REMOVE THE OLD SWITCH . I STRIPPED THE WIRES ON MINE AND USED A SMALL WIRE NUT , WHEN YOU CONNECT THE TWO WIRES YOU ARE TAKING THE PLACE OF THE SWITCH AND COMPLETING THE CIRCUIT. YOU WILL HAVE TO SECURE THE WIRES TO THE WASHER SO THEY DONE RUB AND BECOME BARE AND CAUSE A SHORT
