Re: can not convergence

Check for poor solder connections on both StK392-570 convergence Ics (Mitsubishi p/n # 267p150010) If there are none you may have to replace the amps - but that should restore normal convergence..

Sony model kp57ws510 rear projection. convergence problem. convergence button on front of tv does nothing

There are a set of convergece chips that need to be replaced. If they have been replaced and you still have the convergence problem you will need to change ceramic fuses in the power supply or on the board where the STK chips are located

How to do convergence adjustment on 46 inch sony

Use your flash foucus or goto your menu - and choose convergece. Some sets may not have this feature. You can also put the set if service mode and make adjustments but I would not reccomend that unless you know what you are doing. None of the above will work if your convergence chips have failed. If that is the case you can see some example photos and find a solution here on Fixya.

Lost convergece and not on the tv menu

Simple problem to fix for a professional; pretty hard to do yourself. There are bad connections on the flyback transformer and a fuse is open. Where do you live; i'm due for a road trip.

How to find the convergece amps

On that chassis the only fuse affecting convergence is a 400ma pico fuse near the flyback transformer. If this fuse is open the signal board will never send the "ON" command to the convergence supply so the convergence will be dead.
If the pico isn't open then suspect the amps themselves or possibly an open resistor or two.

Big Screen problem

What did you put in. convergence amp or convergence power. this is a rca hd52w59? i always ask the question in customer menu under setup can you see the option of convergence. if not this is the fl231 fuse problem. consult the article fl231 under tips and tricks section of my profile. the curved picture is an indication complete loss of convergence power. there is a board that does provide convergece power. The convergence on this set is controled by three diffrent boards. power, amp and the small signal board. the small signal board is the most expensive and most complicated to replace ussally a tech has to replace that.

Dual pictures in diffeent colors

I dont recommended buy convergence board.... Time to fix it !!. Replace two Ic's Stk 392-110, and get in service menu settings , and adjust point by point. After replaced stk IC's, check if any resistor look brown or born, if yes, replaced it with 6.8 Ohms. If you have questions? . Good Luck !!

Rca rear projection hdtv lost color convergence

Projection sets have two very common problems.

The first common problem is convergence

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony, Samsung,JVC,Philip Magnavox,Panasonic,Akai,Pioneer, Hitachi,Mitsubishi,Zenith and others.
You can get more information and a DIY convergenece repair kit with instructions from the link below.

Here are some of the most common problems with these sets...

*Screen Looks 3-D
*Colors wont align
*Screen may look distorted or warped
*No Audio/Video - TV Shuts down - May also make a constant chirping sound

Problem #2 - Another common problem is dull or washed out video.

Your set may have one or more of the following symptoms....

*Dull looking picture
*White looking picture
*Halos around objects
*Red/Orange looking picture
