No heat not blowing heat to dry the load

The thermostat is controlling the temperature, however the Heating Coil may be defective. Check the COIL.

Sure the outside vent is not clogged up? If so it will overheat and turn it self off and do a poor job of drying the clothes.

Also check and make sure that all of the heating elements are working properly.

Upon starting you will hear a clicking noise which is the spark ignitor. If heard the two coils on the gas valve are the problem

Blocked vent hose . Disconnect the hose from the dryer and dry a load . If dryes ok , check the vent hose and vent . Make sure there is good air blowing out the back .

the reason they blow fuses is normaly because the vent is stoped up

what type is this electric or gas? have you removed the exsaust from the wall and ran a load like this? if you have heat and this is an electric dryer it sounds like you have a blockage in your house. if the dryer runs fine without the exsaust attached then that is your problem. let me know

Your exhaust vent is blocked.
Timed dry is High heat.
Permanent press is a medium heat and intermittent.
The dryer does not get as hot as often in Permanent press mode. Therefore the fuse does not reach critacal and blow.
Remove the vent at the rear of the dryer and run a timed load.
If it dries correctly, repair your vent blockage.
If not, repost and I will lead you to the next step.

Disconnect the vent at the back of the dryer and dry a load unvented to make sure you don't have a clog in the vent line too the outside causing an air flow restriction, if still not drying check and make sure the blower wheel that circulates the heat inside the dryer isn't broken.

The most common thing to cause this is a blocked vent. Start the dryer and go out to where the vent comes out of the house and see how hard it blows. If you feel little air out the vent, you will need to unhook the dryer from the vent and see how hard it blows there. If it is blowing good there you need to have the vent pipe cleaned. If dryer isn't blowing hard out the back, please reply back with the model number so I can give more detailed directions on checking the blower wheel and ducts.
