Question about Canon PIXMA MP130 All-In-One InkJet Printer
My printer is not working. its showing error(5200).what can i do to solve this problem.

Well I had the error 5200 popping out on my printer screen and guess what, I did the plug in and plug out thing. It worked in the first place but then didn't. Then I decided to replace the color ink since it was low and I previously had already replaced the black ink. And guess what?! After I replaced the color ink, the error disappear and I could now print. Hope this is another solution you guys could try. It worked for me.

I went to a local ink store and they told me if the ink cartridge is used to much after it is low or out of ink that it will burn up the head and then it will display this message. I refilled my color ink cartridge even though I was not using it and it worked as soon as I put it in.

I solved this problem by replacing ink cartridges. thanks for suggestions.

Thank you for Solution #2. My MP130 had a "service code 5100". It kept telling me that the print head was not set properly even after resetting it several times. But I did as you said and it fixed the problem.

Thanks to all you geeks with such a nice helping heart. I did read your suggestions and then re-filled my Color Cartridge, and put it back on. After that every thing is working just fine.

I have found a solution for your problem. (1) With the printer turned on, unplug it (2)Open the top and bring the ink cartridge holder to the middle (3)Raise the gray bar and remove the print head assembly with the cartridges in it (4) Lower the gray bar with the head missing and close the top with the head out (5) Restore the power,wait til the printer wakes up (6) It will tell you to put in the cartridges (7) Restore the print head, close the top and the printer should resume working..... ;)
