- i tried exactly what you said to clean up my system unit, im using compressed air to clean up the dust inside but nothings happen, the error still persists. Another additonal info with regards to my server, last day, we have power interruption and it so happened that our UPS cannot supply enough power to my server, but only one server is shutting down that day that is my hp tc2110 server. So i started it up, then before it goes to windows startup, i heard a long beep and it cannot be stop. But when im in the windows startup, i got an error says that "Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \Winnt\System32\Config\Systemced startup options for windows 2000, press F8. You can attempt to repair this file by starting windows 2000 setup using the original setup floppy disk or cd-rom. Select 'r' at the first screen to start repair." This is the entire message appear at first. So, i boot it with my original windows 2000 bootable cd, but i found out that i cannot even press the recovery console or 'r' for repair but instead it says that the "windows cannot locate the system into your drive. Press F3 to exit setup". Then, i tried fixing it through Hardware matter. I dettached SCSI to my other Hard Disk drive which is in RAID, i only used one Hard Disk Drive at this time and i found out that it works with one Hard Disk attached, so the next things i did is dettached the Hard Disk Drive which is my currently used drive and attached again the second Hard Disk Drive but i found out that the problem "\winnt\system32\config\systemced" which is i discussed while ago, i found it in the second drive. So, i made a conclusion that the problem is on the Second Hard Disk Drive, but when i tried using the first Drive which is working Drive, i found out that it halted. Which means, that i cannot go to startup windows, and i got another error that says " Disk I/O error: Status =00008001". Take note that this is my working drive which i tested while ago.. I tried using windows 2000 bootable CD to fix this problem but i cannot proceed to recovery console, and even if i tried to format or reinstall the Drive, i also got an error which says " The windows cannot locate the system drive. Press F3 to exit setup." I dunno what to do.. Please help, Thank you in advance.

Some simple things it could be...Check the screws on the mainboard holding it to the case. The mainboard uses these screws to ground the board and sometimes they can loosen up from heat & cold expansion over time. Also dust is conductive and if enough gathers on the board it can cause problems also. So use some compressed air on the mainboard to clear out the dust. And also a power supply going bad can cause problems like this. If you have another computer with a working power supply try swapping it out and see if that works. More info on the setup would be helpful.

POssible:
Do you have a Zip drive attached to this server?
