It sounds like the battery is compatible with the ups.
However, APC has excellent free phone support.
I recommend that you give them a call.
Be ready to give them the model number and serial number for your UPS.

Need more info, But try this.It needs to be pluged in to charge the battery. All UPS have a battery that powers what ever is pluged into it.If it's new charge it 8-12 hrs.(read the directions) if it's old there is a good chance that it's no longer able to maintain require voltage, they don't last forever.Good luck

Stop Beeping

I think it is beeping due to it being slightly overloaded? What are you trying to power? This is a very light unit, it will only supply a couple of Amps at best... It is only 340 Watts, PEAK... continuous draw is at least only 3/4 of that say, 250 Watts. with around half being best. It can also be battery Power is low, or not enough.

When the power goes out it just beeps. If I unplug everything then on battery light comes on. So as long as it's pluged up it says on line.

Check that you have not overloaded the UPS. Also check that you have not connected any printers or non-computer loads to the battery-backed supply, especially laser printers which can easily overload a small UPS when the fuser operates.

Failing this it does sound like the battery is failing under load. Expect about 2 - 3 years typical life from small UPS batteries.

Pluged aspire 4520 in at night. next morning, no lights no power. nothing

if the unit will power one with ac adapter plugged in then you have a bad battery. check to see if you dc jack on the lap top lights up when you plug in the AC. if it does not light up then your dc jack or ac adapter is bad.

Unit keeps beeping even when unpluged. over load

UPSs will beep when unplugged to tell you that the mains is off! Overload should reset if you disconnect both the load and the power.

Just no power. outlet is ok! reset button does nothing to help

Hi,

Might be some problem with adapter. verify output voltage of the adapter with multimeter. If no output then replace your adapter.
