How to replace timer

I have a link to Sears parts direct. According to the diagram, there are screws in the back of the top panel. Remove the screws (1) and you can take the back cover off (4). Then remove the wires from the timer (13)that are plugged into it, and the agitation delay board (19). Then remove the knob and nut holding the timer in place. Pull out the timer and then do the reverse procedure. Here is the link to the diagram. http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/part-model/Kenmore-Parts/Washer-Parts/Model-11029832801/0582/0153200/K0905012/00002?blt=06&prst=0&shdMod=11029832801

I need to know how to set the time on my model RETP RINGGRIP TIMER

To set the time;
Press and hold the TIME button during the time setting procedure. While holding the time button press DAY to set the correct day and HR to set the correct hour (make sure the am/pm is correct) and then MIN to set the correct minutes. (If you hold down the Day/Hr/Min button for more than 2 seconds it will give a fast run-through)

I have a EI500 intermatic timer. It was reset. When ou hold the clock button and press the day button the display goes to all ones, push the hour and displays all 2s, min 3s, it will not do anything but...

There is no repair for defective electronic timer.
Ej500 has 1 year warranty against workmanship defects.
http://www.intermatic.com/customer%20service.aspx

Last step troubleshoot is to replace two LR44 batteries and reset timer.
To reset timer: hold down on-off button and push reset button.
Release reset button.
Keep holding down on-off button until display changes.
Then release on-off button and reprogram timer.

My wall installed intermatic timer will not shut offf. Either by the program or the manual switch. Help appreciated

Timer model is not known.
Last ditch troubleshoot for ST01C, EJ500, and Ei600 programmable timers is to change battery and then reset timer.
Battery is inside compartment located below programming buttons.
Make note which way battery/batteries come out for easy replacement.
How to reset these timers: Hold down on-off button. Push reset momentarily. Keep holding down on-off until display shows INIT. Release on-off button and 12:00 is flashing. Reprogram timer.
If functionality is not restored, then timer is bad.
ST01C and EJ500 have 1 year limited warranty.
Heavier duty Ei600 is same as ST01C, but has 5-year limited warranty.

Whirlpool dryer model #LER8620PWD serial #MS3630316. I need to hold down the start button and rotate the timed cycle knob for dryer to turn on .

Sounds like you have bad contacts in your timer. By holding the start button and rotating the timer you are just finding a good contact point and allowing timer to send power to the motor. The timer part number is 3979618 and will run you about 90 bucks. hope this helps

How do you replace the timer in a Kenmore Washer Model 22622?

First, see the Sears parts site for your washer:

http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action

Enter your model number (###.######) and you'll see a list of major sub-components with diagrams and parts.

Next, see the following for how to release the console:

http://www.american-appliance.com/catalog/newsdesk_info.php?newsPath=16&newsdesk_id=131&osCsid=41610396bdeaf9d724c8d6b9910df259

Basic Whirlpool / Kenmore washers may use one of two different timers. See the following Whirlpool / Kenmore Service Manual

https://secured.whirlpool.com/Service/SrvTechAdm.nsf/2cd44500d572193285256a45004fd9d6/f7e2147fa98b28cf85257122007475cb/$FILE/L-55.pdf

Assuming that you have the metal timer, You'll need to remove the timer knob. The easiest way is to hold the metal shaft that passes through the timer with a thin needle nosed pliers while un-screwing the knob.

Once the knob is off, it's a simple matter to unplug the connectors and remove the bolts holding the timer to the console.

I have a digital wall timer that allows for settings over multiple days. Trued to reset it (remove a few memorized settings) by pushing 'reset'; but this had no effect. Do I need to press it for a longer...

You posted the question under ST01C timer.
This timer will clear all programs if you hold reset in for a few seconds until the screen starts blinking 12:00. The reset button is a small round button that you push with a paper clip.
The ST01C memory for current day can be cleared by removing battery for a couple minutes, but the day-to-day programming remains forever until timer is reset.

Each timer tends to follow the same pattern as described above when there is a small round reset that is pushed with a paper clip >> push, hold for a few seconds, timer resets.

Other timers have a larger button for Reset ... the timers with larger reset button usually require you to hold the clock button and reset button at the same time ... or some other button besides clock has to be pushed at same time with reset. You can try different combinations of buttons and hold both down for a few seconds.

If you reply to this response with your exact model and brand timer, I can look up the specifics for most timers
