More than likely, it is in the water pump. Tip your washer back and remove the pump. It is held on by two clips and that will avoid you having problems with the pump very soon.

GE washer WNSB9080B only allows me to run "Drain and Spin", no other cycle. It wounds like there is still water inside when I move the drum around.

In top loading washing machines, the agitator is responsible for moving the clothes through the water and detergent and is driven by the output shaft of the transmission. The output shaft is normally splined and the center of the plastic agitator will have a matching spline to ensure a tight fit. Depending on the brand of washing machine, the agitator may be a single piece unit or a two piece dual action agitator. If the single piece agitator or the lower portion of a dual agitator does not oscillate back and forth during the wash cycle, or if the agitator can be turned on the transmission shaft, then the spline may be damaged and the agitator may need to be replaced. Most agitators are held in place with a bolt that threads into the top of the transmission shaft and is located below the softener dispenser or top cover. Some models use a small set screw in the barrel of the agitator just above the base to secure the agitator to the shaft, while some will use a rubber o-ring to provide a tight fit. When the retaining device is removed you should be able to lift the agitator from the shaft.

Hi my washing machine is tangling up all the washing around the agitator then going out of balance, stops spinning, lights start flashing and beeping? Please help me...

Make sure the agitator is down as far as it can go on the shaft. If it has worked itself partially off the shaft it can cause a gap that will cause your clothes to tangle around the agitator.

How do you restring the line on the spool? I can't get the spool off but have managed to rethread it. Just can't figure out which direction the line should be wound.

there should be screws in the corners/middle at the back of the head. Phillips/torx head, once they are removed, you can separate the housing and then you will need to wind the the spool counter-clockwise, note the cord is not attached, once you believe you have wound the spool enough, you will need to feed the cord through, tie a knot, burn the end and the let go of the spool and it will retract the cord, pull a couple of times to make sure the knot is holding, then reassemble and start weed eating. Good Luck Tim

GE washer top load makes "chunking sound" in agitate cycle

unplug the machine- you should be able to turn the agitator by hand- turn it by hand- if you hear a noise, get a butter knife, or some other flat, thin item and move it around under the edge of the agitator, there may be a small object jammed under it! if so, then remove it, and enjoy the quiet! the agitators in many machines are removable- but you have to un-screw the top retainer, then use tool to loosen the agitator from the shaft- which can be a bit of a chore!! the older the machine, the more difficult! may want to check if your machine is level- but the spin cycle would tell you more! if it 'walks' across the room on spin, it's really out of level!!
good luck!

Pull cord for a cs30 broke how do you replace it? yes i know about the 4 torx screws. does the torque converter just pop off?

Here is a general overview of what you need to do.
1. Get a new cord
2. Remove the old cord from t-handle.
3. Remove cover of starter pully & old cord( pay attention to which way it is wound or mark w/ an arrow).
4. Tie new cord onto pully & wind.
5. Now you need to pre-load the re-winder spring. ( If you need help with this write me a comment & I can help).
6. Holding the rewound spring, thread the cord through the cover and t-handle and tie.
7. reattach the cover.
Hope this helps,
Andy

If the bobbin is on correctly try crossing the thread before going through the tensioner which should solve this problem and also a more evenly wound bobbin.

with the exeption of something you mistakenly left in your clothing and wound up in the washer, not likely stains are from there , most of the time they do come from the dryer, try grabbin an old white rag nad runnig it around hte fron of hte dryer drum and then tyr the rear where the drum meets the back bulkhead. usually leavs brownish streks smome what curved 2-3 inches log. its from hte felt hte supposed to seal the drum. its either wearing thin, or a glide has worn away causing the issue
