R4i Error Message

I just got the R4i card and after installing the software and installing the card on my dsi, I get an error message--Error Turn the DS off and consult the DS product manual.
I know I updated the DSi in the last couple of weeks.

If you update your dsi to 1.4 then your r4i wont work anymore. You will need to wait for r4i to update.

Hey there,

It sounds like you updated your Nintendo DSi console and your R4i card is no longer working. The best thing to do is to buy a card that works with the newest 1.4.3 firmware. Cards that do this include:

Check out R4DSRevolutionCards.com (not a shop) for information about R4 cards / R4i cards in general, they explain the differences between loads of different cards. My favourite is the Supercard DSTWO though. I recommend DSCardWorld.com as a shop but NDS-Gear.com apparently has some good reviews too.

Good luck!

I have a R4i card (Revolution for DS - Gold) that worked up until lately and will not work now, but this card will work on another DSI. Any R4 I put in to this DSI comes up with the following error -...

I'm afraid the R4i Gold card is a fake, and if you've updated your console to the latest 1.4.2 or 1.4.3 firmwares it's unlikely to work. Check out R4 DS Revolution Cards at www.r4dsrevolutioncards.com (info site) to differentiate between different versions of R4i cards and make sure you buy a genuine one!

A lot of the fakes will indeed work when you buy them but as soon as you update your console they'll stop working.

Good luck!

System date error! Please check NDS system data. This has come up on screen, could you give any advice please

Hi ya
remove your R4 card. Go to the system setting and turn your date on the dsi back by a year!!
Put your R41 back in and it should work.
happened to my sons and the only way it would work was to turn the date back.

My r4i card wont work on dsi I have downloaded software and it says menu

Make sure you install the software correctly, many people with these cards do not install the kernel properly. Or do not install the correct software. This causes the menu error you are seeing, or for R4 cards the LOADING message hang!

R4i Card

Well when you update it to 1.4a it blocks it because that version blocks r4i cards or any kind of firmware, people have had this problem before so look at the other questions before answering another one and use 'GOOGLE!'

Dsi r4i error message

According to the website for R4i SDHC the new system update for the DSI will not allow any cards to be used. R4i will only work on 1.3 version of the system software...To verify check the bottom right hand corner of the top screen in system settings...
