Question about Televison & Video
Hi, I have just bought a graded 37" lcd tv (37LG5010). I am using the built in freeview and have an xbox 360 attached using component video connection. The TV is great to start with, but after about 15 to 30 minutes the image breaks up, goes dark in some places and becomes distorted and flickery. When the tv is turned off and on again it is ok for about 5 or 10 minutes then the same happens again. This affects the TV menus as well so can't be anything to do with reception or connection of wires. I am going to call tomorrow but have recently read several reviews that the shop i bought it from (electronicworldtv.co.uk) do not honour guarantees, so I am pre empting this and trying to find out how much it will cost for me to get it fixed myself. Thanks very much!

The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

Quickly go to the Acer website and check FAQ's and while there also find out how to get an RMA to return it. My guess is you have a bad monitor. At $200 roughly for a replacement I would hustle. I am assuming you got nothing but a white screen but did get video on your TV.

You have a convergence problem. Here are some of the most common symptoms.
Screen looks 3D
One or more colors can't be adjusted when when using the convergence menu.
Screen is bowed in but stationary.
You need to replace the convergence chips and convergence resistors. Check the site www.TvRepairKits.com. They have put together a kit for your exact model. The kit inlcludes a photo instruction guide, original Sanyo STK chips, convergence resistors, etc. Everything you need to fix it yourself. Its an easy fix.
