There is a port on the back of the throttle body, near the bottom, directly between the injectors.

Ok I am wondering if my motor in my 91 gmc 5.7 l b8 is a vortec or a 350 it has throttle body carb and not sure thought if I could interchange it with an older 350 ..

Here, is what I think you are asking. The TBI intake from a 91 will fit the same size engine from 88 to 95. The Vortec didn't come out till 96 I believe. So if your 91 is the original engine then it is not a Vortec motor. If you want to swap your 5.7 with another 5.7 (5.7 = 350) Then the 88-95 should work, Just double check your sensors and locations as the plugs may be different and or in different locations. I know my 88 GMC and my 94 chevy (both K1500's) were a little different. Hope this helps.

From the map sensor to vacuum port on the front of the TBI unit somewhere near the fuel inlet and outlet lines

Have a 1991 chevy Silverado with a 5.0L TBI. engine runs rough at idle and driving.Have replaced map sensor, plugs, gasket kit for tbi and checked egr valve. Visually checked all vacuum lines which seem to...

check fuel pressure buy installing a t in the feed line (under the truck is the easiest), check timing, timing advance plug (under the plastic cover on the fire wall), check voltage at low rpms, and check for vacuum leaks by spraying carb cleaner on the lines, intake edges, anywhere there may be a leak. idle will change if a leak is present.

Do headers disrupt chevy 350 tbi performance

You might want to do a tail pipe pressure test to be sure your exhaust system is not partly plugged. I am assuming that you pulled the 02 sensor from the exhaust pipes or headers. The headers sound as if they have been on the truck for awhile and are not new to the unit so then I would not think they are causing the problem. But I tell you for sure the plugged exhaust system will.

1995 chevy silverado 350 TBI V8 standard powerloss

have you checked the filter, i know you state the fuel lines are clear though. likely fuel injectors have lost flow. the TBI injectors can be cleaned, but i usually just replace them. but check them using a timing light hooked to the coil wire for timing of each injector spray. the pattern under the light should be even and conical shape, no major spatter. if one shows low volume, the other one should be replaced at same time, it will save you having to change it when you put brand new next to old one a have same problem again. only replace with brand new, i've had 7 bad remanufactured injectors on one truck at one point in time, only replace with new!
