It is a Vivitek rear projection HD DLP. Model number is RP51HD41-A
I know for a fact it is not the bulb because it has recently been changed. If it is the power supply how do i test or check that and exactly where is it located.

I have another question. Prior to the tv not turning on, while watching the colors blue, green and red would overtake scenery and faces. The colors wouldn't always go to normal quickly (within 5-10 min) and the problem would persist. Could this be caused by an error when the replacement bulb installed, or something else within the set?

  • afloran6 Sep 05, 2009

Thank you for answering the color question. I will certainly leave the most advanced procedures to technicians. As for the set not turning on, have you heard of this set experiencing similar problems. If so do you know what their issues were.

What kind of tv is this? Can you give me the make and model number please.

If it is a projection, then most likely the bulb is burnt out. Otherwise a good spot to start is with the power supply.

Yes the colors could either be the bulb or maybe the light engine is worth checking out which you should leave to an experienced technician if you don't have advanced electronic skills. A bad power supply would most likely not cause color changes

many times a set not turning on is because the protection circuit takes over, which usually takes over when the power supply may be at fault but it really could be anything that is shorting out if this is the case. Generally, it physically must be narrowed down by a technician unless it was giving off an error code, but if they randomly blink and there is no set code, then it could be almost anything. Sorry about not being more helpful

I have a mitsubishi ws-65315. When I go to turn the tv on the green power light comes on and you can hear the tv click on, but seconds later shuts off.

this model has a self check, when green light comes on and then goes off. Push and hold both the Menu and Input buttons on the front of the set for at least 5 seconds and release both.

Power light will blink a two digit error code like 2 blinks 2 blinks, a pause and then repeat it several times.

Let me know what error code you find and I will tell you what it means.

The printer apear to be dead!

Buttons and lights on the printer Two buttons and three lights are located on the front of an HP Deskjet printer.
  • The lights tell when the printer is working or when it needs attention.
  • The buttons help control the printer.
Buttons and lights Purpose c00123886.jpg POWER button and light Push the POWER button to turn the printer off and on. When lit, the light shows that the printer is turned on. c00123889.jpg RESUME button and light The light blinks when there is a problem with paper. When the problem is corrected, press the button. c00123892.jpg Print cartridge light The light blinks when there is a problem with a print cartridge. When the problem is corrected and the top cover is closed, the light will stop blinking. Troubleshooting blinking printer lights Blinking lights Reason c00123895.jpg

All lights are off. The printer is off (asleep).

Press the POWER buttonc00123886.jpg to turn the printer on.

The printer should turn on automatically when a print job is sent to it. c00123898.jpg

The POWER (top) light is on. The printer is idle.

The printer is ready to print a document. c00123900.jpg

The POWER (top) light is blinking. The printer is busy printing.

Allow enough time to print. When a document has many fonts or graphics or uses complex color such as a color photo, it takes longer to begin printing. c00123902.jpg

The PRINT CARTRIDGE (bottom) light is blinking. Possible causes:

  • The front cover is open. Make sure the front cover is completely closed.
  • The print cartridge is missing. Make sure the print cartridge has been installed correctly.
  • The print cartridge is broken or incompatible. Lift the front cover, and wait for the print-cartridge cradle to slide out. Check the part numbers on the print cartridge:

Black: 51645A

Color: C1823D,

If the print cartridges are compatible and correctly installed, they may be defective. Try replacing the print cartridges.

If none of the above suggestions fix the problem, and, if the error message still occurs, it may be a hardware failure. Call the HP Customer Support Center.
