Question about Magic Chef Ovens
My mom has a Magic Chef oven, model 5892VRV. It is constantly buzzing and showing the code -F1. She does not have a manual for the item and she says she has tried pressing all the buttons but nothing works. Can you help?
The f1 problem is a losing battle. If the oven is otherwise working fine, save your money and just disconnect (ie, with wire snips) the buzzer alarm inside the controller. You'll still be seeing f1 most of the time when you are not using the oven, but so what? I performed this "fix" several years ago and haven't regretted it.

You have 2 choices.
Replace the electronic control(clock).
Or, replace the range.(stove).
