Question about Nintendo Wii Console

1 Answer

Our WII will not eject and I have read some of the answers to others. I tried the tweezer thing but that does not work once you stick the tweezers in the opening they are squeezed shut because the opening is small and I tried the sticking another disc in it but it won't let us stick another disc in it. We did not damage it nor drop it. We were playing it and decided to play another game and when we press the eject button nothing happens like no signal is being transmitted from the eject button, everything else seems to be working just fine.

SD Card and disc stuck in CD slot of Alienware M14x?

try taking a small piece of wire and bending a small hook into one end slide it in on TOP of the stuck disc and hooking the center hole of the disc, (you don't want to get the wire under the disc because you could damage the disc reading hardware) also once you have the disk hooked you may have to use the tweezers to gently hold the front of the disc up to align with the slot as your pulling it out. you should feel a little resistance but don't try to force the disc out too hard.

We got a game stuck in the wii consele....We tried ejecting the game as well as turning the game off...nothing is working.

You have to try out all these options first:

Turn the Wii off and on again after about 20 seconds. Press the eject button again.

Unplug the Wii's AC power supply if Step 1 doesn't work. Wait 1 to 2 minutes, and trying to eject the disc again after turning the Wii back on.

Hold down the eject button for 5 to 10 seconds.

Try ejecting the disc with the Wii at different angles. If you hold the Wii upside down, it may help the disc fall out.

Call Nintendo and send the Wii back if non of these steps work. In most cases, a disc stuck in the Wii should be covered by warranty.

Nintendo says to see if power light was coming on, AC adapter reset. unplug from both ends for 90 seconds.Hold eject button for five or 10 seconds.

If none of this works, you might wanna try this, but it is not a preferred method, if you ask me, even though it can be done.

To remove a disc you'll need three sets of tweezers. And possibly a bobby-pin.
First you need to turn the Wii upside down (and preferably unplugged from a power source)
Second, using two sets of tweezers, press the small metal "guards" down. These are located just inside the mouth of the Wii. They're there to keep the disc from free falling, and inhibit their removal. They aren't locked and shouldn't be difficult to press down.
Third, you'll need to reach "up" through the middle of the mouth with the third set of tweezers to grab hold of the disc. I'd highly recommend using flat tweezers, not sharp ones as the disc may become scratched.
NOTE: The disc itself rests on the internal carriage (through the center hole of the disc) and if upside down, should fall into your tweezer's grasp easily. If it doesn't then you need a bobby pin to dislodge. Gently press the bobby pin on top of the disc and then grip the disc with the tweezers.
Finally, gently pull and the disc and push on the bobby pin and the disc will slide out easily .

This can be done with one person, but helps if you have an extra hand.
Good luck.

We have a 2006 Chevy Uplander LT with DVD overhead player. We have a DVD that is stuck in the player and when we try to eject, we get a 'load/eject error'. We left it overnight thinking maybe it...

try unhooking battery for a few minutes and see if resets system unlikely it will work but worth a shot. will most likely have to get it out with tweezers or a pick. when you do see if it is warped this would cause it to hang up

OK.. I could not get a disk to eject from my wii console. I tried unplugging it and slapping it on the side.. I also found this site trying to figure out what i can do.. I took some of yalls advice on...

Oh my God ;-) Isn't it funny sometimes when you don't notice simple things, happens all the time.
I one time spent 30mins trying to turn on a PC, to only notice I was pressing the "reset" button and not the power button!
Glad I'm not alone.

Dvd stuck in dvd player in 06 honda odyssey

I had the EXACT same thing happen with my 2 year-old and our 2006 Odyssey last week! I drove to the dealer today to have them remove it and after banging hard on the side of the DVD player for several minutes, they said it was really stuck and I would have to pay $400 to have the DVD player removed and sent to a repair center. What!?!?!

I came home and decided to try the tweezer idea. I am not handy and I'm eight months pregnant so I couldn't get as close as I would have liked to the DVD player but as soon as I propped the little rubber doors open with the tweezers to take a peek, I saw both DVDs!! I pulled the top DVD out in about 3 seconds. I then turned my car on and the second DVD popped right out!! :) I put the DVD back in to make sure everything worked and it did. I CANNOT believe I was considering spending $400 AND be without a DVD player for weeks while they shipped it off. The DVD I pulled out has a scratch from where the tweezers were holding on to it but it's on the very outside of the DVD and if I do need to replace it, ... we're talking $10-$20 rather than $400 . Sooooo glad I didn't listen to the dealer this time!!! :)

My daughter has put a coin into the wii thru the disc slot an now i cant get it out can u help

That will be very difficult, the Wii requires a special screw driver to get the face plate off. It is called a Tri-Wing screwdriver, you can google for it if you'd like to attempt to fix it yourself.

There are two other ways you could try to rectify this. Unplug all cables from the back of the wii, turn it upside down so that the cd-rom slot is facing the floor, and shimmy it around a bit to see if you can get to the point where you are sure the coin is agains the cd drive. Then you could carefully attempt to stick in some small tweezers and try to grab out the coin. Just don't stick the tweezers in more than an inch or so, that way you avoid doing any damage. If you still can't get the coin out you should probably call Nintendo, they can fix it for you, and probably for free. Their number is: 1-800-255-3700

Wii won't read discs, spits them out, no blue light

If Wii gives Disc Read Error, first step you need to check is to try another disc or clean the exisitng disc. This will confirm that problem is with either Wii or Disc. If the console itself is giving disc read error then it needs to be repaired. You may check out DIY Wii Fix Guide, that will show step by step information to fix the problem yourself. Jammed disc in wii

One of two things happend. The drive was damaged from the fall or one of the cables has come loose keeping you from ejecting the disk. the only way to see what is going on will be to open it up. You can also remove the disk once it's open with a little patience even if the drive is broken.
