Smell coming from gas oven

This morning i woke up and thought i smelled a faint gas smell. i have a gas oven and a weekor two ago one of the pilot lights was out and we relit it and everything was fine the smell from the pilot light being out was very noticable. so of course i checked but they were on. but this confuses me because i went out for a bit since i wasnt sure i was smelling anything. you know clear my senses when i came back in i couldnt smell anything until im nosed up to the oven and in the oven i have fire alarms and carbon monoxide alarms i would figure one of them would be going off the oven seems decently old it came with the apt im in but ive only lived here for a few months also the building is pretty old and uses steam heat.... any thoughts should i be calling the gas company
