This was my problem and I tried yiour solution and it solved the problem. I used some carb cleaner on the screen and a toothbrush - replaced it - reassembled the trimmer and she is working like she did when I first bought her. Thanks for the tip!

How to replace a fuel line for a poulan prolink ppb 250e 31 cc gas string trimmer

This model uses a micro bore fuel hose and is a interference fit in the tank, it is not easy to get the new hose back into the tank, you will have to trim the end of the new hose and push in from the bottom as far as you can, then use a pair of long nose pliers through the fill hole to grab the hose and pull through, you should be able to refit onto the carb elbow, if there is not enough room you will have to remove the air filter housing.

I have a 350 poulan pro ordered a carb. installed new filter line and primer bulk. It will start and run as long as I have the choke on. As soon as I move the lever for the choke I boggs down. Gan anyone...

Hi dennis
Sounds like to me that you have a problem with the high speed circuit of the carb...could be some trash in the jet or the jet may be out of adjustment...try adjusting the jet and try to go to full throttle after your adjustment

42cc 18 inch craftsman chainsaw model 358-351910-18. Saw runs great at idle or while not cutting wood, when starting to cut wood just after the entire bar gets into the wood engine bogs down and chain...

Generally this is a fuel / air ratio problem. Usually it can be solved by a carb adjustment. On the carb there are usually two screws, one marked low or L , the other marked high or H. Low is your adjustment for idle mixture, high is for mixture at full throttle. The saw should Always be adjusted to run well during the cut. Make adjustments a little at a time, then try The saw. Continue small adjustments untill the saw is performing well at full throttle while Cutting.

Poulan 45cc chainsaw will start running with starting with choke, but will not stay running.

Sounds like the low speed fuel adjustment is out of can reset it by turning it in all the way clockwise...then as a starting point, turn it out 1 and 1/2 times, start the engine and slowly adjust the screw until the engine starts to choke out..when this occurs, turn it back in until it starts to choke again...then you need to set it somewhere in between to find the "happy medium"....thew high speed screw is adjusted after you get the engine idling properly...if you haven't messed with this then I wouldn't worry about it..unless you have poor high speed operation, then you will need to set the high speed screw...the object here is to obtain the best low to high speed throttle...if , when you throttle up the saw, the engine bogs or goes to high speed slowly , here is where you adjust to get the best throttle response...use small increments until you achieve the desired response

My poulan wild thing 2375 bogs out when throttle

Make sure that the air cleaner and muffler are not plugged. Check the carburetor screws and nuts for tightness. After turning both needles CW to stops (lightly), back them out CCW 1-1/2 turns each. Start the engine and allow to warm up. Open the throttle and adjust the H needle CW somewhat until the engine speeds up, but is 4-stroking. Correct adjustment is when the engine 4-strokes, but immediately 2-strokes when cutting. Release the throttle and adjust L CW till the engine runs fairly smoothly, but allows the engine to 'follow the throttle'. Set the idle speed screw so that the chain doesn't turn, but the engine keeps running. Hope this helps!

I was running my Poulan Pro chainsaw at full speed about to adjust the high speed setting on the carburator. The engine sounded like it bogged a bit, it died and will not start again. I blew something...

Did you already set the low speed jet. I would take both down to the seat and back off 1 1/2 turns to get into a range where they should start. Also check the fuel filter in the tank that is attached to the small hose in there. I have had more than one plug up and give me fits. Marvin

Idels good but when i start to cut it bogs doun

Either the spark arresting screen is clogged with carbon, or the carb is out of adjustment on the high speed jet.
