Replace the belt, they do wear out and slip and make this noise, if the belt is new then the washer has a bad bearing causeing excessive friction.

I have a 91 Honda prelude my belt on my alternator skweeks how can I adjust it

Not sure, but isn't this a serpentine belt which uses a spring loaded tensioner? If so, remove belt and spin all driven items to see if one of them squeaks all by itself. Include spinning tensioner pulley. If no squeak found, check for any loose or misaligned parts. Lastly, replace belt.

Kenmore stackable wash/dryer Dryer squeaks so loud. How do I stop the squeak.

You probably have a bearing in one of the rollers that spin when the dryer is turning. You'll have to take the front panel off and remove the dryer tub by taking the belt off. You'll then see two doughnut shaped wheels attached to the back panel. Check and see if one or both are loose on the shaft that holds them. If they are replace them. Lubercating is not an option. If they seem ok, check the wheel that the belt loops through and make sure it spins without wobbling. One of the three things is causing the squeak.

Dryer is squeaking bad

its either the belt slipping .... the motor ....... or the main drum bearing you can take the belt loose and spin the drum and listen for the squeak then spin the motor and listen that should tell you which is causing the squeak

During the spin cycle it has started to squeak? it sounds like rubber, maybe the seal or the fan belt?

If it squeaks or spins slower than when it was new, and/or you smell something like burning rubber, it is probably the belt. You can replace it yourself if you look up the make and model number on the internet. There are free sites that will walk you though the process. free.

What makes a belt squeak?

Belts squeak for the same reason tires do when they spin. They are slipping. Something isn't turning as fast as the belt wants it to. On ford it's usually ether the idler sprocket or the tensioner. If you remove the belt and try spinning all of the pulleys by hand.( note the crank wont spin freely) you will usually be able to tell witch ones slipping.

The dryer is squeaking (especially when it begins spinning), and it spins a little rougher than normal.

The sqeak is from one of two items surrounding the drum. It can be the belt with a bad roller on the belt tensioner or the liner surrounding the round lip of the front part of the drum to the dryers front panel.
If the squeak can be heard dy the dryers door it will be the felt liner. If deeper inside it will bet the belt

Take the belt off check the clutch fan and spin all the pullies insure they spin freely and do not wobble if any do replace them if all checks out ok put a new belt on. make sure the belt tension is not to tight should have about 3/4 inch play.
