Question about WYSE WY-150 AMBER 80 (90098307) Network Terminal
1) you're problem might be on the horizontal deflection circuits
a) possible fault might be the diode that is parallel to the horizontal deflection output transistor. ( they are in series with each other if there are available)
b) possible fault might be the supply of the horizontal output
transistor is a little bit high.
c) possible fault might be the HDT transformer is partially shorted
just a possibility due to horizontal drive xsistor overheating.
d) the screen shifts to the right can also be caused by the horizontal
oscillator circuits, maybe a changed value Mylar capacitor.
e) can also be caused by the electronic controls controlling or aiding
the horizontal oscillator circuits
f) the solution to these problems can be an actual replacement of
the said components, if you don't have an ESR tester or any equivalent good quality capacitance meter
g) try trimming the power supply output that goes to the pin of the
flyback transformer that goes to the horizontal def output transistor.
h) try also lowering the screen resolution from the video card of the computer, try 800 X 600 just for testing, eliminating the possibilities
i) if there seems to be a fold-over on the raster then still in the oscillator circuits to the driver stages.
j) might try also to put temporarily a bigger heatsink for the said
overheating horiz drive xsistor while still on the process of trouble-shooting
k) try also to note down the supply voltages of the horiz out xsistor from the pin of the flyback
l) the supply voltage of the HDT transistor, before and after the series resistor.
m) you might need also to plug the unit to a lower AC input supply
when having to troubleshoot the problem.
please note that horiz drive means the one driving the horiz out transistor.
just don't forget to unplug the unit when extracting electronic components, and be careful on the flyback area.
hope i have helped you, thanks for using Fixya!

Click this link for why horizontal transistor gets hot and shortedhttp://www.repairfaq.org/sam/reppic/horiz-tv.pdf ---------------- and for more information horizontal transistor is a power transistor.if its getting short that means power board is having power supply issue.the board has to be checked to locate the faulty component that is making the horizontal transistor short again n again. ----------- thanks.keep updated.

Hi and welcome to FixYa,
A few ideas you may want to consider/try:
Unfortunately, no available schematics for the 150 on my end, but on others that use a 2SC1213 as the HD transistor, replaced the 39 ohms dropping resistor with 47 ohms
Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.
