Question about Motorola Mobility i850 Cellular Phone

Phone works better without a battery cover

I just got a i850 my phone works perfectly fine without a battery cover i can do everything but as soon as i put on the battery cover my phone resets and it says to insert my sim card??? Any suggestions from anybody?

You will need to have this repaired at a local service center. This is covered completely by Sprint Nextel's ESRP (Equipment Service & Repair Program) and TEP (Total Equipment Protection), and can be done at any Sprint Nextel Service & Repair Location. If you do not subscribe to ESRP or TEP, the charge for the repair will be no more than $55. If you just bought this unit within 30 days ago, you should be able to get it replaced at no charge from the location you bought it from.

Have a nextel i850 good sim (work phone) phone works fine but reads no service is there a way to reste or unlock


You must contact your carrier provider. For the person that setup your phone, made it so that you can not access any services. you must call your cell phone carrier and speak to them for unlocking the services

No one can hear me talking


Electronics do not like liquids - especially those containing milk, sugar, salt etc.
.
Do NOT try to dry out with heat or a microwave.

You could try this for the handset:-
Remove the battery cover and disconnect the battery.
Let everything dry for at least three days with the battery cover off.
After everything is dry, reconnect the battery and replace the cover.
Do not reconnect the phone line to the base - as phone calls will interrupt the charging.
Recharge the battery for at least 15 to 20 hours without interruptions.

If the base got wet:-
Disconnect the AC adapter to cut off the power.
Disconnect the telephone cord.
Let everything dry for at least 3 days.
Reconnect (and cross your fingers).

It is a wise safety precaution to have a safety-cutout plug or switch to avoid electric shock (to you and your equipment).

No reception on cell phone "No Network Service"


You need to check the RF. The RF is a component that pick up the signal. It is usually placed on the upper portion of the phone where there's a small exhaust so that the RF could pick up the signal better.

Once the RF gets wet, the component might become defective.

You need a phone tech to check or change the RF.

My i850 is having a problem.


i had the same problem. the repair center replaced my flip sensor and now my phone works fine

I850 getting bad service


Go to main menu
setting
Phone calls
notifications
them make sure it is set to recieve all
that should fix the messaging issues as far as service you will have to have some one else check the phone
