On a lot of wyse 150 units, the horz. transistor get hot and screen shifts to left. Tryed replaceing flyback , horz xixtor, and caps in the sewwp circuit, and had no luck, help...

Must replaced the flyback,and the horizontal transister also.

I have repaired many of these; if a high pitched buzz when you plug the set in---flyback and horz. output transistor are bad--transistor has a generic number on it--Flyback is location number LL05, part number should be 257805---you will find RCA no longer has this part--most now are replaced with an asti #2078----CHECK the RCA number on Ebay---company I get them from is Suburban Electronics---Flyback and transistor are less then 30 dollars for both.

The small wires are disconnected at the focus and screen control block, and the large HV cable is disconnected from the HV splitter.you may have to reuse the large red wire if the new flyback doesnt have the HV lead attached. The Hot is the horizontal output transistor its mounted to a aluminum heat sink near the flyback.

most of these rca models have bad flybacks. also check horz output transistor, if flyback is relaced the screen voltage has to be at or close to 295 volts or set will shut down after on 5 seconds

replace the flyback and the STR, and also the H- out transistor.

What is the model or chassel number it be a few thing H.O.T Resistor Caps etc..most likely horizontal output transistor.

This is not an easy fix for most people! I suspect the ps is blown, R607, Q601,Q602 (use all org Sony parts, lots of factory 2nds around). This stuff blows to protect the fuse!!!!! Very rarely the input bridge rectifier or filter cap short.
Check R622, if open or discolored also replace VDR601(doesn't go bad very often). Check Horz output Q502. Inspect whole board for any bad connections, all parts with heat sinks(regulator ICs). Horz driver transformer, 0.47uf to horz driver tr. There could be other parts bad (flyback??). Make sure no supplies are shorted, check audio output supply, vert output supply, etc. Easily $150 repair at a shop. Good luck!

• proceed as given after your power supply is ok (your statement)
• isolate power supply from h/output stage.
• check diodes & capacitors connected with flyback transformer.
• check for print short.
• ckeck h/output transistor.
• connect supply to h/output stage.
• put on the set.

still there is a drop in voltage then your fly back transformer faulty.
